4. Cookies

5. Analytics tools
a) Tracking tools
The tracking tools listed below and used by us are based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. With these tracking tools, we aim to ensure a needs-based design and continuous optimization of our website. We also use tracking tools to statistically record the use of our website and evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our offering for you. These interests are considered legitimate within the meaning of the aforementioned provision.
The purposes of data processing and the categories of data processed are described in the respective tracking tools.
aa) Google Analytics
Google Analytics is a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (https://www.google.com, Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, hereinafter “Google”). We use it to tailor and continuously optimize our pages. In this context, pseudonymized user profiles are created and cookies are used (see section 4).
The information generated by cookies about the use of this website, such as:

ab) Google AdWords Conversion Tracking
We also use Google AdWords Conversion Tracking to statistically record the use of our website and evaluate it for optimization purposes. Google AdWords places a cookie on your computer if you reached our website via a Google ad.
These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of the AdWords customer’s website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and the customer can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to that page.
Each AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies cannot be tracked across AdWords customers’ websites. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive information that personally identifies users.
If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can refuse the setting of cookies, for example by adjusting your browser settings to generally disable cookies. 6. Social media plug-ins
In accordance with Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, we use social plug-ins from Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram on our website to increase awareness of our website. This commercial purpose constitutes a legitimate interest under GDPR. Responsibility for data-protection-compliant operation lies with the respective providers. We integrate these plug-ins using the so-called “two-click” method to best protect visitors to our website.
a) Facebook
Our website uses Facebook plug-ins (e.g. “LIKE” or “SHARE” buttons). This is a service provided by Facebook.
When you visit a page of our website containing such a plug-in, your browser establishes a direct connection with Facebook’s servers. The content of the plug-in is transmitted directly from Facebook to your browser and integrated into our website.

9. Data security
We use the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) method in conjunction with the highest level of encryption supported by your browser (generally 256-bit). If your browser does not support 256-bit encryption, we use 128-bit v3 technology. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the closed lock icon in your browser’s status bar.
We also implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction, or unauthorized access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.
10. Updates and changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy is valid as of 25 May 2018.
Due to further development of our website and services or changes in legal or regulatory requirements, this Privacy Policy may be amended. The current version can be viewed and printed at any time.
